Boost your chances by entering this competition – and you’ll learn a whole lot about the investing in the process.
The ifs Student Investor Challenge will be opening for entries in early September and teenagers aged between 14 and 19 are encouraged to take part.
You’ll be asked to invest virtual money through the London Stock Exchange as part of an inter-school competition to find the most promising young investors in the country. The aim is to get the most impressive returns in round 1 and correctly predict the closing point of the FTSE 100 each week in round 2 so you get through to the finals in April next year.
The overall winners will jet off to New York for an all expenses paid trip but there are other prizes on offer, such as money for your school.
You’ll need to be registered for the competition by a teacher and enter the competition in a group of 4.
