At the beginning of the year, I was asked to share my 2019 financial resolution with the readers of FT Money, the personal finance section in the Financial Times, alongside many esteemed figures.
Resolution from @ionayoungmoney “I want to be fluent in freelance fintech. A slew of apps have launched to help the self-employed manage their finances, such as Coconut, Albert and Cool Company. FT Money wanted me to make good on that promise, and investigate the complex and fascinating world of freelance fintech on their behalf. The result was an in-depth cover feature for FT Money that was published last weekend.
Here is my cover story for @ftmoney today, an exhaustive but also (I’m told!) entertaining feature on freelance finances ahead of the self-assessment deadline. From helpful apps to tips on filing your own return, it’s all here (plus sky dives & erotic outfits…) grab a copy! 📰 pic.twitter.com/ilynPYZBPJ
