Iona Bain is proud to be a weekly columnist for the i paper, entertaining and informing readers with her pieces on all things personal finance. She is also a regular contributor to the i’s money and business pages, with her personal account of fraud making waves in 2021.

Shas written extensively about personal finance and business for other national newspapers, most notably the FT, where she is a regular contributor to the Money pages. She has also covered topics ranging from human interest and health to skincare and even mattress reviews (you at the back…stop laughing!) As a journalist, she has also been shortlisted for several awards, including the Georgina Henry Award at the UK Press Awards, Rising Star of the Year and Freelance Journalist of the Year.

As a Scot, she maintains close ties with the Scottish media. She has previously been a regular personal finance correspondent for the Herald newspaper and has written a variety of op-eds and reports for the Scottish Daily Mail and Scotsman.
