Iona has been presented with the Moneyblogger of the Year award at the prestigious Santander Media Awards in London.
She collected her award from Mark Foster, the former Olympic swimmer, in a ceremony at Banking Hall in the City.
The judging panel, made up of experts from across the financial media sector, said Iona’s work is “well presented, clear and easily digestible”.
They added: “This blogger has built a reputation for producing informative and entertaining copy which guarantees to get her audience hooked no matter what the topic.”
She not only came out on top in the fiercely-contested blogger category, but was also shortlisted as national Freelance Journalist of the Year for her work in The Times in 2016.
Iona says: “It’s the first time I’ve entered the youngmoneyblog for any award and I’m absolutely thrilled to have this recognition. It’s five and a half years now since I wrote my first blog and I hope we can go from strength to strength!”
