Iona is perhaps best known for being part of the much-loved Morning Live family on BBC 1, broadcast every day after BBC Breakfast. She has been appearing on the show at least once a week since early early 2022, giving her latest financial updates, tips and thoughts to the show’s 1m+ audience. She has also produced a range of thought-provoking, fun and informative films for the show, including her ground-breaking report on dyscalculia which led to a huge spike in awareness around the subject and her becoming an ambassador for the charity National Numeracy.

She has also been Radio 1’s Money Hacker in residence and made her debut on Question Time in an under-30s special. She joined Paul Johnson for a a four-part series on Radio 4 in 2020 called The Austerity Audit and collaborated with BBC Bitesize on a special series of educational programmes for teenagers.
She has been has been a guest presenter on the BBC’s flagship personal finance show Moneybox, a guest on Newsnight and a regular guest on Ask the Experts on BBC News during the Covid-19 crisis, among dozens of appearances on most major UK TV and radio stations over the years. Podcast appearances range from Free the Geezer with rap group The Manor to the FT Money show and The Spectator’s Edition podcast.
Iona is also an experienced presenter, interviewer and video host. In 2019 she fronted a major video education campaign for Scottish Investment Trust and starred in a video series for Lloyds Bank that was beamed into millions of customers’ inboxes. She has also presented videos, taken part in radio days and hosted podcasts for a range of clients including F&C Investment Trust, LifeSearch, Financial Ombudsman Service, RBS and Baillie Gifford.
